The visual genius Katsuki Tanaka, who has been pushing the boundaries of visual expression since 1995 with the creation of a full-computer graphic work "Kaeruman," introduces this new sensory experience of optic, "ALTOVISION," his epochal work.
"ALTOVISION" which will be released this fall is the first Blu-ray disc from the "virtual drug" series released as Pony Canyon's all-time series, which has been also distributed overseas, makes the most of the quality of Blu-ray and elevates Tanaka's visual aesthetics with technology.
The disc contains fifteen original pieces, with each length about three minutes.
The high quality of the visual is so overwhelming that its viewing experience goes beyond the experience with the eyes but also reaches and mesmerizes the brain.
Each piece's variety and spontaneity in addition to the meticulous construction is wrapped in Tanaka's aesthetics, drawing a clear line against so-called trippy visuals.
As for the sound the 4.0 ch full surround music is created by Seiji Toda, who, after performing in several bands, is now a producer/composer, working actively within various scenes.
The harmony of music and visuals of "ALTOVISION" stimulates all the senses to the maximum.
Not only in Japan but overseas "ALTOVISION" would quickly spread and would be an immediate talked-about visual work worldwide.

In 1985, upon receiving an award from a weekly magazine called "Big Comic Spirits," started his career as a cartooonist.
In 1991, with the fellow cartoonist Seiichi Amakusa, released "Baka Drill" on a free paper "GOMES," distributed by PARCO, and has continued to release works including "Baka Drill" (Fusosha/1994), "Bucchu-Kun All Hyakka" (Sony Magazines/1999), and "Ossu! Tonko-chan" (ASYL DESIGN/2002).
Tanaka also has released many video works.
In 1995, released a full-computer-graphic animation "Kaeruman", which was followed by the works included in "Gasbook" (Design Exchange, 2000), "RESFEST2000" (nowondvd), and "Effects" (MdN).
In 2002, released "SUNDAY" (nowondvd) which consisted of his video works, and created animation for "Super Hitori Gottsu DVD" as well as for "Tsuki," one of the songs in NHK's children program "Minnano Uta". Other works include commercials, video clips, openings and jingles for TV programs, and spots.
